Norma was most recently a HOGAR Fellow with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), a competitive program preparing young Latino housing professionals for leadership in the mortgage industry. While there, she researched and co-authored a homeownership housing assistance directory highlighting special housing assistance programs in five cities with large Hispanic populations. Working with Fannie Mae’s National Business Center, Norma developed new business opportunities, developed and launched Fannie Mae’s 5/30 Interest Only Mortgage Backed Security, co-managed a key housing finance agency account and managed the Housing Finance Agency SWAT team. At Fannie Mae’s Community and Multi-Cultural Lending department, Norma helped manage emerging markets affinity relationships and managed as well realtor-focused educational and marketing initiatives.
Fluent in Spanish, Norma holds a BA in business management from Indiana University, is a licensed real estate agent in Michigan and an Accredited Mortgage Professional.
