Welcome to the home of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. We are a mission driven trade organization that is part business and part advocacy for sustainable homeownership and the wealth and stability it affords not only Latinos, but all American families.
In this difficult time in the housing market, we continue to press on with our mission, urging lawmakers, business leaders and real estate professionals to remain focused on keeping the doors to homeownership open to more than a privileged few.
We are the voice of many families that still dream of owning a home and raising their children in stable, safe and attractive neighborhoods. In the aftermath of the housing crisis when the temptation is to overcorrect, resulting in shutting the doors to opportunity, it is our job to remind leaders in the business, policy and regulatory arenas that hard working families are still entitled to the opportunity of homeownership.
More significantly and to the benefit of all Americans, we remind our leaders that the Latino community has the buying power to revive the housing economy with their purchases. In the new era, it is our goal to advocate solutions that offer the next generation of buyers, the ones that will replace the Baby Boomers, every possible advantage that enables them to partake in the American Dream. Hispanics hold the key to reinvigorating the housing economy but only if first-time home buying programs are available to them.
It is our mantle to champion sustainable homeownership through championing marketplace changes that protect homebuyers from predators, advocate balanced reforms which keep the doors open to homeownership and promote ethical practices among those in the business of making the dream of homeownership come true.
Follow us on this journey and you'll see that our commitment to these goals is fueled by passion and pride in our cultural heritage and the decent, hardworking and honorable people of our community that we have the privilege to serve each day.
