Just Announced: Sol Trujillo to Keynote Opening General Session

Solomon D. (“Sol”) Trujillo is an international business executive who has served as CEO of largecap global companies in the US, EU, and Asia-Pacific region – including US West (now CenturyLink), Orange (now France Telecom) and Telstra, the Australian media-communications company. In each he was a digital pioneer, leading the deployment of broadband, smart devices and digital services – including the mobile internet and ultra-high speed wireless networks – to stimulate productivity and innovation across all sectors of the economy.

Sol currently sits on corporate boards in the US, EU, and China – including in the US, Western Union and ProAmerica Bank; WPP plc, the EU-based advertising and public relations multinational; and in Asia, SouFun Holdings Ltd., China’s leading real estate Internet portal, and China’s Silk Road Technologies, where he is board chairman.

NAHREP honors two distinct advocates for their contributions

Ms. Arce made headlines when she revealed she had achieved the American Dream at Goldman Sachs while undocumented. She has established herself as a voice in the fight for immigrant rights and education equality and co-founded the Ascend Educational Fund, a college scholarship and mentorship program. Ms. Arce will be honored with the Latino Vanguard Award for her contributions in immigrants’ rights and education.

A longtime supporter of NAHREP, Mr. Blackwell is responsible for developing and implementing Wells Fargo’s diverse segments growth strategy, which aims to increase sustainable homeownership among low-to-moderate income borrowers, veterans and minorities. Under his guidance, Wells Fargo has committed to the HWP’s goal of tripling Hispanic household wealth. NAHREP honors Mr. Blackwell with the Ernest J. Reyes Award for his continued dedication to minority homeownership.

The NAHREP 10 Masterclass

Gary Acosta takes the NAHREP 10 principles to the next level at the NAHREP 10 Masterclass with some of today’s most influential subject-matter experts. Join Investor & Philanthropist Foster Stanback, Realogy President & CEO Alexander E. Perriello, Base 11 CEO Landon Taylor, and UFC Co-Founder Rorion Gracie. The event takes place on September 20 at the 2016 NAHREP National Convention.

Just Announced: Actor Tony Plana at the Keynote Luncheon

Best known for his role on hit TV series Ugly Betty, Tony Plana takes the stage at the annual Keynote Luncheon to share his experience as an immigrant and actor in the U.S. This year’s luncheon will feature a menu inspired by Chopped Star Chef Ronaldo Linares, who will showcase his fusion of Cuban, Colombian, and American roots on the table. NAHREP also honors activist and author Julissa Arce with the Vanguard Award to celebrate her achievements in Latino social justice.

Back by popular demand, Sabores: A Culinary Experience will feature global DJ sensation Taboo, best known as a member of the chart topping group, The Black Eyed Peas!
