Position Summary:

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our business opportunities. The Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for developing new business and acquiring new accounts through researching prospects and building relationships with their key decision-makers. Responsible for developing and diversifying business, revenue and future organizational growth. This is a senior role with potential for growth within the organization.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage both our existing sales pipeline and the development of new business opportunities for both our National and Regional partnerships
  • Work with our Partner Success team to smoothly onboard new partners into the organization
  • Align with our Partner Success team to identify existing partners with a potential for growth
  • Take a lead role in developing new business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships
  • Provide strategic business development, focused on the generation of new business leads, expansion of existing clients and new projects and initiatives
  • Develop a growth strategy, focused on financial gain and client satisfaction
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long term sales pipeline, in accordance with targets
  • Builds market positon by locating, developing, defining and closing business relationships
  • Maintain client relationships and identify growth opportunities within current clients by thoroughly understanding the needs of the business through active communication with the client
  • Develop strategies and positions by analyzing new venture integration
  • Develop and negotiate contracts and integrate contract requirements with business operations
  • Research, plan and implement new target market initiatives
  • Manage and retain relationships with existing clients
  • Evaluate current sales performance and identify strategy for organizational growth and expansion
  • Attend conferences and industry events and promote NAHREP as a leader in the industry
  • Prepare and present status reports on sales forecast and pipeline
  • Use customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage interactions with new and existing clients

 

Position Requirements:

  • Excellent tactical skills, cold-calling capabilities, and a strong sales acumen
  • Strong relationship-building skills, particularly with key decision makers and C-level executives
  • Exceptional presentation skills and public speaking acumen
  • Excellent proposal writing and negotiation skills
  • Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy
  • Experience working to and exceeding targets
  • Excellent Spanish language ability, both written and oral
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly proficient in presentation software

Work Environment

Work is performed in a professional office setting with ambient temperature and overhead lighting. Travel via air, car or rail is required.
