Notice from NAHREP regarding the cancellation of Convention and Housing Policy Summit

It is with profound regret that due to coronavirus concerns, NAHREP must cancel its 2020 National Convention and Housing Policy Summit originally scheduled for March 16-18 in Washington DC. While we did everything possible to avoid this decision, we must act in the best interests of our members, partners and stakeholders. We are especially grateful to our registered members, speakers and sponsors who stuck with us all the way.

To replace this event, we will be announcing a number of large-scale regional events that will take place over the summer. Over the coming days and weeks we will be making a series of related announcements that will provide more details.

NAHREP remains committed to serving our members, our mission and our industry. We are confident that this unfortunate situation will soon pass over and we will all be stronger for it. In the meantime, our staff has prepared FAQs for your convenience displayed immediately below this notice.

Cancellation FAQ

NAHREP is exploring options for rescheduling the event and is working to provide a virtual experience for the State of Hispanic Homeownership Report Release. An announcement regarding the conference rescheduling will be forthcoming.

If you purchased your registration with a credit card, your registration will be refunded in full. Please allow up to 5-7 business days to see a credit to your account.

If you purchased through a chapter bundle, you will get the benefit of transferring that registration to the NAHREP at L’ATTITUDE event scheduled this September at a one-thousand-dollar discount. Contact your CRM for additional questions regarding chapter bundles.

Due to this outbreak, many airlines are offering flexible cancellation and reschedule policies. Please contact your airline as soon as possible to explore your individual options. It is your responsibility to cancel your flights.

Please contact the hotel where you booked the reservation to cancel. If you are having issues with a hotel reservation that was booked within NAHREP’s block, we can help you with any follow up that is necessary. Please contact registration@nahrep.org if you are having trouble canceling a reservation. It is your responsibility to cancel your hotel reservation.

With the flexibility being offered by our hotel partners and airline companies during this outbreak, cancellation fees and other cost incurred should be minimal. Due to IRS regulations, NAHREP will not be able to reimburse any flight cancellation or change fees incurred. It is your responsibility to ensure your travel itineraries are canceled.

Until otherwise notified, NAHREP Chapter events will continue to take place as planned. Considerations regarding local events will take place on a case by case basis, as needed.
