2024 NAHREP Top Latino-Owned Business List

The Top Latino-Owned Business List recognizes emerging Latino-owned businesses that contribute to the residential real estate industry and showcase the entrepreneurial spirit of the Hispanic community. The Top Latino-owned businesses and Up & Coming businesses are featured alongside their industry sector and their previous year’s revenue.

This list is also featured in the 2024 State of Hispanic Wealth Report, an annual publication that tracks how Latinos are faring regarding wealth creation, with a specific focus on homeownership, entrepreneurship, and financial investments. See the full report here.

Methodology

The Top Latino-Owned Business List is compiled through a self-nomination process. Businesses will be divided into sectors of the real estate industry and ranked against their peers within each sector. Ranking will be based on business gross revenue during the most recent fiscal year. To be eligible, nominees are required to submit a signed letter from their CPA or other appropriate body to validate their revenue submissions. Nominations may be disqualified or modified where third-party validation is not available or consistent. Ethnic background is confirmed through self-attestation.

The Top Latino-Owned Business List is the joint property of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals and the Hispanic Wealth Project. The Top Latino-Owned Business List is compiled solely from applications submitted to NAHREP directly from candidates. NAHREP makes a best-effort verification of the accuracy of each application but does not impliedly or actually guarantee the verification nor its results. NAHREP and the HWP rely on the veracity and accuracy of the representations and information stated in the application. NAHREP reserves the right to accept or reject any application at its sole discretion. The Top Latino-Owned Business List is for informational purposes only. NAHREP is exempt from liability for loss, damage, and injury due directly or indirectly from its best effort verification, the NAHREP Top Latino-Owned Business List, or any other occurrence arising out of the Top Latino-Owned Business List as it relates to this application. Applications to the list acknowledge and agree to hold NAHREP harmless for any claims, actions, damages, costs or fees, including attorney’s fees and costs, arising out of their representations and/or information that they have provided in the Top Latino-Owned Business List application.

NAHREP Top Latino-Owned Business List FAQ

Requirements

  1. The company must be majority owned by a Latino business owner who is at least 25% Hispanic or Latino origin.
  2. The company must be privately held (for-profit), based in the U.S., and independent (not a subsidiary or division of another company).
  3. The nominee must be a current business owner.
  4. The business gross revenue must be reflective of their most recent fiscal year.

Nomination deadline

Nominations close on June 26, 2024.

Cost

There is no fee associated with the NAHREP Top Latino-Owned Business List.

What do I need to show as verification?

All businesses must provide a signed letter from their CPA or other appropriate body that verifies the business gross revenue stated on the nomination.

Will my business revenue be published?

Business revenue for each recognized business will be noted within a specific revenue range. Exact business revenue will not be published.

Will the information in my submission be kept private?

Yes, the information submitted for nomination will be kept private and not shared with any third parties. Business revenue noted in the list will be published as a range, not as a specific figure.

What happens after I submit my nomination?

Once a nomination is submitted, the information will be validated based on submitted documentation. If additional information is needed, the nominee will be contacted.

Can someone else nominate me?

Businesses are encouraged to nominate themselves. As documentation is required to validate business revenue, only nominations made by business owners or their employees will be accepted.

Release date

The Top Latino-Owned Business List will be featured in the 2024 State of Hispanic Wealth Report, which will be released at NAHREP at L’ATTITUDE September 12 – 15, 2024

Will I be contacted if I made the list?

All nominees will be contacted in advance of publication. Businesses that will be featured on the list will be provided with promotional assets and materials.
