NAHREP’s annual legislative conference wrapped up in Washington, D.C. on March 17. The Housing Policy & Hispanic Lending Conference brought together the association’s members, supporters, and industry frontrunners for three days of discussions on the most pressing housing issues, policy updates, and an outlook on the future of the lending industry. NAHREP unveiled its annual policy positions, which outline the organization’s recommendations for policymakers which would have a positive impact on the real estate industry, housing, and NAHREP’s ability to accomplish its mission. This year’s event was NAHREP’s largest Policy Conference to date, with nearly 600 attendees, 5 general sessions featuring political pundits, the industry’s leading economists and housing heavyweights, a keynote address by Secretary Julián Castro, and the installation of 2016 President, Joe Nery.
