NAHREP Recognizes Community Participants and Research Director Alejandro Becerra

NAHREP hosted The New Mega Market: Celebration of Hispanic Homeownership event on April 12 in Washington, D.C. The occasion gave an overview of the market opportunity and the challenges the Latino home buying community face. Dave Stevens keynoted the night’s event, along with a panel of housing heavyweights who gave insight into the mortgage market. Speakers included Mark Zandi from Moody’s Analytics, Kurt Pfotenhauer from First American Title Insurance Company, and Dr. Mark Hugo Lopez from the Pew Research Center. The night was highlighted by acknowledgments of industry participants and community members whose efforts have made a material impact on Hispanic homeownership, including, NAHREP’s Director of Research, Alejandro Becerra, who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement in Housing Award for his tireless efforts in championing of Latinos in housing throughout his long and prosperous career.
