She shared how she went from international policy to fine cuisine, and how her ambition fueled her accomplishments as a young entrepreneur. She was followed by impressive panel of Latina entrepreneurs including Patty Arvielo, Daisy Lopez-Cid, Nuria Rivera, Tanya Reu-Narvaez, and Sara Rodriguez, who knocked it out of the park!

Owens, Barnes, and Watson shared their upbringing, life in the spotlight, and their post-sports experiences in moving to new career endeavors.

Friday night with Luis Fonsi

The Welcome Reception sponsored by U.S. Bank featured Award-Winning Radio DJ Alex Sensation at the turntables to open the weekend for NAHREP at L’ATTITUDE! Attendees explored the Exhibit Hall with food and drink in hand before Luis Fonsi lit the stage up with his live performance at PARQ on Friday night, presented by AT&T Business.

With one of the most famous voices ever, boxing announcer Michael Buffer commanded the stage to recognize the NAHREP Top 250 Agents and Mortgage Originators. Lending and real estate executives discussed challenges with respect to credit availability and inventory, what the industry is doing to address the growing demands and opportunities of the Hispanic market segment.

Educational Breakout Sessions

A far-reaching slate of curated NAHREP educational breakout sessions sponsored by Bank of America brought members access to industry thought leaders and real-estate centric content. Popular ones from this year included “Flipping Homes—Is the Party Over or Is It Just Getting Started?” and “Opportunity Zones and Ways to Increase Your Financial Portfolio.”

Sabores: A Culinary Experience Recognizing the Top 250 & Alumni

Sabores, co-sponsored by Fannie Mae and PrimeLending, once again earned its reputation as the culinary experience of the weekend with cauliflower street tacos and vegetable pozole. The exhibit hall was packed with attendees collecting updates and swag from today’s hottest companies.

General Session III: Future of the Industry

General Session III examined “How technology will define the industry” and highlighted key homeownership trends for the industry’s prominent players. Leaders discussed transforming the business of real estate with new business models utilizing modern technology and the evolution of sales.

Estefan family takes the spotlight at Closing Gala

During the Closing Gala, Co-Founders Gary Acosta and Sol Trujillo awarded Emilio Estefan with the L’ATTITUDE Entrepreneur Award, presented by none other than Gloria Estefan! The Estefan family presence continued with an incredible musical performance by Emily Estefan, who got everyone dancing to fresh covers of classic songs. The evening also included the presentation of the L’ATTITUDE Philanthropy Award to Mike B. Fernandez in absentia.
