Building Wealth Through Homeownership
Latinos are set to meet the HWP goal of tripling median household wealth by 2024, mostly because of real estate acquisition. A panel of experts will discuss how Latinos are not only driving homeownership growth in the SE region, but are also over-indexing the general market in their growth of real estate investments. Given the role Latinos play in the real estate industry, and the fact that Latino homeowners have 28 times the wealth as Latino realtors, this group will discuss what government interventions are needed in order to support Latino demand for real estate and to maximize the wealth derived from homeownership investments.
