This month, NAHREP released the annual Top 250 Latino Agents and Mortgage Originators Awards, two separate reports which recognizes the leading Latino mortgage originators and agents in the U.S. as ranked by the number of transactions they closed the previous calendar year.
Nominations for the agent award broke previous records with over 700 nominations submit from over 80 different markets across the country. RE/MAX was the most highly represented brand among the honorees, followed by Century 21 and Keller Williams Realty. An overwhelming majority of the agents who applied for the award indicated they were bilingual, with only 4% responding that they were not bilingual.
The mortgage originators who ranked on the report totaled 32,783 mortgages closed, and over $8.1 billion in mortgage sales volume. This year’s list also includes an additional featured element, recognizing the Top 100 Latino Mortgage Originators from among the non-depository lenders in the report, highlighting the 39 companies in this space whose top originators are servicing Latino consumers across the country. New American Funding led the non-depositories represented on the list, followed by Quicken Loans and Alterra Home Loans.
