February saw the launch of the NAHREP Alumni Program, which offers exclusive opportunities and benefits to a prestigious group of NAHREP veterans in recognition of their service to the organization.
“NAHREP has been blessed with thousands of members who have dedicated their time and passion over the years,” said Gary Acosta, NAHREP Co-Founder & CEO. Now, these members can continue to be directly involved in the organization even after their term of service is over.
One of the best features of NAHREP’s structure is the regular turnover on national and chapter boards, which ushers in new ideas, personalities, and goals. However, the release of responsibilities during the transition out of an elected role can be uncomfortable for very active members. NAHREP Alumni is the perfect venue for members to continue their involvement and insider connections.
It’s certainly going over well with members if the numbers are anything to judge by: “After two weeks, we had received over 140 applications,” Acosta noted. He hopes to see NAHREP Alumni become a braintrust of valuable knowledge and ideas and a key resource to the organization.
