NAHREP Proudly Welcomes Edwin Acevedo as 2025 President-Elect

Olivia Chavez and Magda Esola Step into National Board Roles with the Largest Latino Business Organization

SAN DIEGO—January 8, 2025 — The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP®) welcomes Edwin Acevedo as its 2025 President-elect, alongside the appointments of Olivia Chavez and Magda Esola to the National Board of Directors (NBOD). As leaders of the nation’s largest Latino business organization, they will help guide NAHREP’s 100 chapters and over 40,000 members with insights on the latest industry trends, professional development, and leading business practices.

Edwin Acevedo’s real estate journey began in 2008, culminating in the founding of Lotus Group Real Estate, which became Downey, California’s fastest-growing independent real estate brokerage in 2016. In 2022, Edwin franchised his brokerage with Century 21, creating Century 21 LOTUS, now operating across three counties. Acevedo’s approach and commitment to excellence make him a natural fit to lead NAHREP into the future.

Olivia Chavez brings over 12 years of experience with Mission Real Estate. Renowned for her dedication to mentoring new agents, Chavez has built a reputation for fostering success and empowering others in the real estate community.

Magda Esola, a top-producing agent in the Greater Charlotte market for nearly two decades, has made over half a billion dollars in sales during her career. A perennial powerhouse, she has ranked among North Carolina’s Top 10 agents and has been honored on NAHREP’s Top 250 Agents list for seven consecutive years.

“I am thrilled to welcome these outstanding leaders to our National Board,” said NAHREP Co-founder and CEO Gary Acosta. “Edwin, Olivia, and Magda exemplify servant-leadership at its finest. Their expertise will be invaluable in driving our mission forward.”

“NAHREP’s future is looking bright with Edwin Acevedo stepping up as our new President-elect,” said Nora Aguirre, 2024 President. “Magda and Olivia joining the board brings fresh, dynamic perspectives to our leadership team. These individuals truly embody the grit and commitment that NAHREP stands for. Their energy and expertise will be crucial as we continue to grow and make a lasting impact in our community.”

The official induction of Edwin Acevedo as President-elect and the installation of the 2025 board of directors will take place during the 2025 Homeownership and Housing Policy Conference, which will be held March 24-26 in Washington, D.C. The event will serve as a platform to celebrate NAHREP’s incoming leadership and engage with key stakeholders shaping the future of Hispanic homeownership.
