Welcome to 2020, a new year and a new decade. It’s the year of Sara Rodriguez’s presidency and in her own words, “the year to do some universe changing stuff.” For those of you who just joined the National Advocacy Committee: Bienvenidos!
I hope everyone is taking deep breaths and staying warm as we head into the holidays. I just wanted to drop a quick note and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I’m headed out of the country for three weeks but will be back with a vengeance in 2020.
Gary Acosta is a tall man. Speaking literally, he is six-foot-three-inches in height. Speaking figuratively, he sees eye to eye with giants. “I’ve always been attracted to people who have the capacity to unabashedly think big,” Acosta says.
When I think of citizenship, or the embodiment of what it means to be a U.S. citizen, I think of my grandmother my Mama Panchita. She was this adorable viejita, with a smile that warmed my heart, always positive, always in a good mood. She used to make the BEST sopa de fideo and albondigas.
This year our Entre Familia rally visited cities in two states, Florida and New Jersey! At the Entre Familia Florida rally in Hollywood, Immediate Past President Daisy Lopez-Cid and Co-Founder & CEO Gary Acosta shared how NAHREP’s humble beginnings shaped its future member community, broadening it to the audience L’ATTITUDE is reaching today.
The NAHREP Greater Sacramento Business Rally 3 “Key Success Strategies: Time Management, Delegation, and Balance” on July 11th drew in a large crowd of local professionals!
Held at Embassy Suites, NAHREP Antelope Valley’s Women Empowerment Expo on July 19th brought in a large number of participants, ranging from local and national organizations, to politicians and business leaders from the area.
NAHREP Puerto Rico’s Annual Business Rally took place on July 19th, with 2019 President-Elect Sara Rodriguez and Immediate Past President Daisy Lopez-Cid on hand to inspire the over 230 attendees.
