NAHREP Statement on Nomination of Alanna McCargo as President of Ginnie Mae

The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals® (NAHREP®) congratulates Alanna McCargo for her nomination by President Biden to lead Ginnie Mae.

Alanna McCargo has been an exceptional housing leader in both the private and public sector, and will bring to the job her many years of experience as well her commitment and passion for making homeownership accessible and sustainable for communities of color across the U.S. Ms. McCargo has been a friend of NAHREP’s for many years and has worked in tandem with NAHREP leaders to bridge the wealth gap for Black and Latino individuals through homeownership. In President Biden’s selection of Alanna McCargo to head Ginnie Mae during this transformational period, he has chosen a true champion of the American Dream.

“Alanna McCargo is an excellent choice to lead Ginnie Mae. She represents the best and the brightest in our industry and knows the plight of the Hispanic community well, as demonstrated by the many years of advice and support for our mission to increase sustainable homeownership. We strongly support President Biden’s nomination and look forward to working with her once she is confirmed,” said Sara Rodriguez, 2021 NAHREP President.
