Real Estate Industry Veteran Jason Riveiro Named Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer of NAHREP

Industry veteran returns to NAHREP to lead strategic projects and new partnerships

SAN DIEGO—June 27, 2022—The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP®) announced today the appointment of Jason Riveiro as Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer. A leading voice in the real estate industry, Riveiro will lead strategic projects and partnerships. Riveiro is the first to hold the COO role within the organization, which has over 100 chapters and a network of 40,000 real estate professionals.

Riveiro’s appointment corresponds with the organization’s heightened focus on activities related to Hispanic wealth. A substantial part of his work will be to work closely with NAHREP’s immediate past President, Sara Rodriguez, who recently assumed the role of Chairperson of the Hispanic Wealth Project.

Riveiro previously served as NAHREP Chief Marketing Officer from 2016-2018, making significant contributions to the organization’s increased impact and visibility within the real estate industry. Before joining NAHREP as Executive Director & COO, Riveiro served as Senior Director of Industry Relations at Notarize. He also spent four years at Realogy in several senior roles, ultimately rising to Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Vice President of Global Affiliate Services. During his time with Realogy, he served as 2020 Chair of the NAHREP Corporate Board of Governors, overseeing the development of the NAHREP Corporate Board of Governors’ Best Practices Playbook.

“I have known and admired Jason for many years and he has been a valued contributor to NAHREP over the years,” Acosta said. “His deep knowledge of our organization and our industry is unique. Jason’s work experience gives him unique insights into the intricacies of the real estate, mortgage, and title industries which will help as NAHREP expands our partnerships and collaborates with a wider target of industries and organizations. This is an exciting day for us and the future of our organization as we welcome Jason.”

“As a first-generation U.S. citizen with family from Colombia, NAHREP’s mission of increasing sustainable homeownership for Hispanics has a special place in my personal and professional trajectory,” Riveiro said. “I met Gary many years ago as NAHREP was just growing and he has become a role model and mentor. He built NAHREP from the ground up and it stands today as the leading Hispanic business organization in the nation. I am looking forward to working side-by-side with Gary to enhance business opportunities for our members and help increase Hispanic homeownership levels.”

Riveiro has served on several boards including the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland’s Business Advisory Board, U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, iHeart Radio’s Community Advisory Board, and the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Diversity Advisory Board. He has been recognized with a Univision Communications’ Fellow, NAACP Freedom Fighter Award, LULAC National Presidential Citation, Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan Award, and was recognized by Inman News as one of the five people driving the future at Realogy in 2021. He also hosts a podcast focused on highlighting multicultural real estate professionals.

A graduate of the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Riveiro earned an MBA from Xavier University in Ohio and completed graduate courses at the Universidad de San Pablo-CEU in Madrid.
