NAHREP Announces 2021 Top 250 Latino Mortgage Originator Award Winners

Combined sales volume grows by 70% to $16.9 billion, loanDepot, DHI, Caliber and New American Funding top the list of companies with the most originators honored

SAN DIEGO—May 19, 2021— The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP®) released its seventh annual Top 250 Latino Mortgage Originators Report today, recognizing the top producing Latino mortgage professionals across the United States. This year’s report, sponsored by Radian, ranks individual originators based on both number and dollar volume of transactions, and represents over $16.9 billion in combined sales volume in 2020. This represents a growth of almost 70% from 2019.

loanDepot led the way as the company with the most honorees, followed by DHI Mortgage. Caliber Home Loans and New American Funding tied for third for having the most originators on the list. Lizy Hoeffer from CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC in Phoenix, AZ is the leading originator with 1,165 loans, ranking first for the fourth year in a row. The report acknowledges 606 unique originators, the largest list of originators ever featured in the report given the addition of regional lists.

“NAHREP salutes the Top 250 Latino Mortgage Originators in the country on their success and hard work,” said 2021 NAHREP President Sara Rodriguez. “The success of the housing market helped keep the nation out of a full-blown economic depression, and the dedication of these mortgage professionals was a big reason.”

NAHREP conducted a number of case studies as a part of this year’s State of Hispanic Homeownership Report by speaking to Top 250 applicants from top mortgage companies who had conducted the most Latino originations and the highest rate of originations made to Latinos. The majority of the top companies have these trends in common: they hire Latino loan processors and underwriters, have Latinos in top leadership positions, create marketing materials in Spanish and have special loan products specifically relevant to Latinos.

“The past year was unprecedented with a global pandemic creating many challenges, yet these consummate mortgage professionals rose to the occasion and focused on helping Americans achieve the dream of sustainable homeownership,” said Brien McMahon, Radian Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Franchise Officer.  “Radian is honored to partner with NAHREP to recognize the outstanding efforts of the Top 250 Latino Mortgage Loan Originators.”

2021 Top 250 Honorees will be recognized at 2021 NAHREP at L’ATTITUDE in September, where some of the individuals on the Top Originators list will be featured.
